Why visit
Santorini?

"Santorini is a place where the light itself seems different."

Santorini is the result of one of the largest volcanic eruptions in recorded history — and the caldera it left behind is one of the most dramatic landscapes on earth. The island's iconic white-washed villages cling to the clifftops above a deep blue sea, their blue-domed churches catching the Aegean light.

Oia's sunset is legendary — and rightly so. But Santorini rewards those who venture beyond the postcard views: black sand beaches, ancient Minoan ruins at Akrotiri, volcanic hot springs, and some of Greece's finest wines grown in volcanic soil.

It's one of the most romantic destinations in the world, and one of the most photographed. Come in shoulder season to experience it at its most magical.
